Checkbook Cover with Pen Pocket Free pdf Pattern
I needed a checkbook cover with a pen pocket for my new handbag. I like to have a pen pocket on my checkbook cover, or I can never find a pen when I need one. So, I made this checkbook cover pattern up and I thought I would share. It is very easy to make and quick, great for using up scraps of fabric and would also, make a cute gift.

Quilted Handbag
I have wanted to make a quilted handbag for myself and finally I had some extra time to make one. I quilted Faux Dupioni Silk, which I love and added a coordinating color cotton fabric.
We are planning on going to the Quilt Expo in Madison Wisconsin in September and I needed a new handbag. I didn't put together a pdf pattern, but I do plan on making some accessories, like a checkbook cover and a few little bags for extra stuff. So, I may make up some pdf patterns of those. We plan on camping at Wisconsin Dells, I have some ideas of things I want to take with, that we need in the motor home and I think I'm due for a new look in there too. So, there may be some kitchen patterns too, if I get the time.

Sewing Basket & Needle Keeper pdf Pattern
Fun and easy to make, the cover fits over a CD tote. The tote can be purchased at Wal-Mart, Joann's or an Office Supply store. Great for sewing supplies, craft supplies or even a makeup case.

Day 3 of My Life In Pictures, is a shot of "out and about". This is the Ford River that is not too far from my house. I love taking walks along the shore and it is very peaceful. I always feel relaxed after spending time by the river.

Today's picture is summer fun; I posted pictures of my garden. Well, it may not be fun for everyone to plant and pick weeds, but for me I find it to be relaxing and fun. This year my garden is just beautiful, so instead of one picture, I'm posting four.
